Who We Are
The Called Co. is led by a team of people who care deeply about serving our community. Each person brings their own background, experience, and heart for helping others. Together, we work to create programs, outreach days, and mobile events that make conservative care easier to access for everyone.
Dr. Michele French DC
Dr. Michele French is the founder of The Called Co., a grassroots nonprofit built from a simple belief: healing should meet people where they are. As a Veteran and survivor of her own battles with pain, trauma, and the medical system, she knows firsthand how hard it can be to access care when life is heavy, resources are thin, and options feel limited.
Her path into chiropractic wasn’t traditional. After years of watching her family members, people she served with, and working-class people fall through the cracks and become addicted to pain medication, she couldn’t just sit back and do nothing. Michele has committed her life to finding ways to help people decrease pain without the use of controlled substances.
She became trained in massage therapy, advanced neuromuscular therapy, personal training, corrective exercise, and eventually earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree — all with one goal in mind: to help people reclaim their lives without depending on medications they never needed in the first place.
The Called Co. was born from the moments she wished someone had shown up for her family. From growing up without access to care. From sitting in VA clinics being offered pills instead of real solutions. From the farmers market families stretching every dollar. From the veterans who feel forgotten. From the moms who put themselves last. From the belief that dignity, compassion, and conservative care should not be luxuries.
Today, Michele brings chiropractic, soft tissue work, and movement-based care directly into the community. Taking what she’s learned into parks, farmers markets, veteran events, and neighborhood gatherings through Pay What You Want outreach days and charitable events. Her goal is bold: a fully equipped mobile office serving Arizona’s communities year-round, offering comfort, privacy, and safe access to care for anyone who needs it.
Driven by faith, resilience, and an unwavering call to serve, Michele is building The Called Co. one event, one conversation, and one act of kindness at a time.
Brian Chastain
Brian Chastain serves as the Vice President and Secretary of The Called Co., bringing a steady, grounded presence to a mission that is as ambitious as it is heartfelt. With a background grounded in discipline, logistics, and real-world problem solving, he approaches the mission with humility and a deep respect for the people The Called Co. is built to serve.
Brian believes in creating something that lasts. Something that matters. Something that makes conservative care accessible for families, veterans, and community members who would otherwise go without. His commitment shows up in the countless small ways he supports the work: steady leadership, reliable follow-through, and the quiet strength that lets a big vision stay grounded.
Most importantly, Brian stands behind the mission because he believes in Michele, in the heart behind The Called Co., and in the impact this organization can make across Arizona. He plays a vital role in helping transform a bold idea into a real, sustainable movement that brings healing directly to the community.
Annette England
Annette England serves as Treasurer of The Called Co. and brings old school charm and an organized approach to managing the nonprofit’s finances. She prefers systems that make sense, records that stay where she puts them, and numbers that cooperate on the first try.
Annette keeps the financial side of the organization grounded with clear tracking, consistent structure, and an eye for detail that quietly prevents chaos before it begins. Her commitment to integrity and practical order helps ensure the nonprofit moves forward with confidence and accountability.
